Pokémon TCG and video game competitors from around the world are competing for the title of World Champion, as well as more than $500,000 in prizes, at the 2017 Pokémon World Championships.
The format of the prize is dependent on the age of the recipient.
18 years of age and older:
1st – 8th place: Choice of scholarship or cash
Top finishers in 9th place or lower: Cash
Under 18 years of age:
1st–8th place: Choice of scholarship or travel certificate
Top finishers in 9th place or lower: Travel certificate
Pokémon TCG World Championships Prizes
The top 4 finishers in each Pokémon TCG age division will receive an automatic invitation to the 2018 Pokémon World Championships.

Additionally, the top 32 Pokémon TCG players will receive 72 Pokémon TCG booster packs, regardless of attendance. All participants will earn 5 Play! Points.
Pokémon Video Game World Championships Prizes
The top 4 finishers in each Pokémon video game age division will receive an automatic invitation to the 2018 Pokémon World Championships.
