Video Game Formats

Singles Battles

  • Single Battles.

  • Each player brings a team of up to six Pokémon to each battle and chooses three of them to battle with.

  • No two Pokémon on your team may hold the same Held Item.

  • Pokémon above Lv. 50 will be leveled down to Lv. 50 during battle.

  • The following Pokémon will not be permitted:

Little Cup

  • Single Battles.

  • Each player brings a team of up to six Pokémon to each battle and chooses three of them to battle with.

  • No two Pokémon on your team may hold the same Held Item.

  • All Pokémon in the battle box must be the lowest stage of evolution in a line that can evolve and must be Lv. 5 or less.

  • All Pokémon will be set to Lv. 50 for the duration of the battle.

  • Pokémon cannot know the moves Sonic Boom or Dragon Rage.

  • The following Pokémon will also not be permitted:

Triple Battles

  • Triple Battles.

  • Each player may bring a team of up to six Pokémon to battle and all six will participate in each battle.

  • The following Pokémon will also not be permitted:

Multi Battles

  • Multi Battles.

  • Each player must pay an entry fee, and prizes will be awarded to each player individually.

  • Each player brings up to six Pokémon to each battle and chooses three of them to battle with.

  • No two Pokémon on your team may hold the same Held Item.

  • Pokémon above Lv. 50 will be leveled down to Lv. 50 during battle.

  • The following Pokémon will not be permitted:

  • Please note that communication between players is not allowed.

Monotype

  • Double Battles.

  • Each Pokémon on your team must share a common type. A team using Fire-type Pokémon could use Arcanine (Fire), Moltres (Fire/Flying), and Camerupt (Fire/Ground), but not Pidgeot (Normal/Flying) or Sandslash (Ground).

  • Players may not use more than one Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on their team.

  • Each player brings six Pokémon to each battle and chooses three of them to battle with.

  • No two Pokémon on your team may hold the same Held Item.

  • Pokémon above Lv.50 will be leveled down to Lv.50 during battle.

  • The following Pokémon will not be permitted:

  • Double Battles

  • Players may use Pokémon with National Pokédex number 1 through 493, with the exception of the following:

  • No two Pokémon on your team may hold the same Held Item.

  • Pokémon above Lv.50 will be leveled down to Lv.50 during battle.

  • Each player brings six Pokémon to each battle and chooses three of them to battle with.

  • Mega Stones are not allowed.

Kanto Classic

  • Single Battles

  • Players may use Pokémon with National Pokédex number 1 through 151, with the exception of Mewtwo and Mew.

  • Pokémon brought over from Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2 via Poké Transporter may participate in this competition.

  • Register six of your Lv. 1–100 Pokémon to your Battle Box.

  • Held items are not allowed.

  • No two Pokémon on your team may hold the same Held Item.

  • Pokémon above Lv.50 will be leveled down to Lv.50 during battle.

  • Each player may bring a team of up to six Pokémon to battle and all six will participate in each battle.

  • Mega Stones are not allowed.

Pokémon TCG Formats

Standard Format

  • Decks must follow the current Standard format regulations (XY expansion on).

Expanded Format

  • Decks must follow the current Expanded format regulations (Black & White expansion on).

Prerelease Kits

  • Limited format, 40-card decks with four prize cards. Players will be given a Prerelease kit to build decks and play.
