New Costumed Pokémon Debut and Zarude Returns in Pokémon GO’s Verdant Wonders

Frolic through nature, catching adorable Pokémon.

Nature is unbe-leaf-ably wonderful, so Pokémon GO is diving into a celebration of the natural world with the Verdant Wonders event, which takes place from March 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to March 25, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Spring into action with new costumed Pokémon, which include Cottonee wearing a flower crown and Whimsicott wearing a flower crown, and keep an eye out for Shiny Flabébé, which is making its Pokémon GO debut. Branch out with the Verdant Wonders Collection Challenge to earn Stardust, XP, and an encounter with Cottonee wearing a flower crown. Plus, check out a new Special Research story that leads to an encounter with Zarude.

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the event: Red Flower Flabébé (in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), Blue Flower Flabébé (in the Asia-Pacific region), Yellow Flower Flabébé (in the Americas), White Flower Flabébé and Orange Flower Flabébé in all regions, Bulbasaur, Oddish, Tangela, Hoppip, Poochyena, Nuzleaf, Shroomish, Cottonee wearing a flower crown, Pansage, Pansear, Panpour, Zorua, and Cutiefly.

Monkey Around with Research

For US$7.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) you can get a ticket to the event-exclusive Special Research story, Rogue of the Jungle. Tickets are available for purchase until the event ends, and Trainers who complete the story will earn an encounter with the Rogue Monkey Pokémon, Zarude. Other Special Research rewards include two Premium Battle Passes, six Silver Pinap Berries, five Rare Candies, one Incense, encounters with Dark-type or Grass-type Pokémon, and more. Ticket holders who use Incense during the event will attract certain event Pokémon, including Panpour, Pansage, Pansear, Cutiefly, Flabébe with flowers of every color, Cottonee wearing a flower crown, and Zorua.

Have a wondrous day, Trainers!
