2022 Pokémon World Championships Main Event Check-In Policy

Day One players must check in at the ExCeL London events center Hall N22 on Wednesday, August 17 between 5:00–8:00 p.m. BST. If, due to unforeseen circumstances such as flight delays or missed connections, a player becomes unable to check in on Wednesday, they should report to the check-in desk as early as possible on Thursday (during the check-in hours, beginning at 8:00 a.m.) and notify a staff member. There is no guarantee of entry for players who check in late, and should the late entry be allowed by tournament officials, it may include a penalty of a first-round loss. All Day One players are required to be checked in and must be seated for their age division's player meeting on Thursday morning.

Players who earned a Day Two invitation may check in anytime Wednesday evening or Thursday until 3:00 p.m.


Pokémon TCG Junior, Senior, and Masters Divisions

All Pokémon TCG competitors with Day One invitations will need to submit their digital deck list online before 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17. Players may use cards from their home market in languages other than English.

Deck lists for players competing on Day Two must be submitted online by 8:45 a.m. on Friday, August 19. Players who advance from Day One to Day Two may submit a new deck list through RK9 Labs Deck List Creator. Any new deck lists must be submitted by 8:45 a.m.


Pokémon VGC Junior, Senior, and Masters Divisions

Day One players must lock their Battle Teams and submit their team list online with the RK9 Labs Team List Creator by 8:00 p.m. during Wednesday check-in.

All Day One players are required to be checked in (with their Battle Teams locked, for VGC players) and seated for their age division’s player meeting on Thursday morning. Day One players who fail to lock a Battle Team during check-in will not be allowed to participate in the World Championships.


Pokémon GO Senior and Masters Divisions

  • Players must register online by 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18.

  • All players who successfully register online will be included in the double-elimination brackets even if they do not check in at the venue. The bracket will contain all Trainer Nicknames for players who register by 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

  • Players must be present in the Pokémon GO Championship area by 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 19. Bracket information will be provided at that time.

  • Players who do not show up to their winner’s bracket match when their match is called may receive a match loss and be sent to the loser’s bracket.

  • Players who do not show up to their loser’s bracket match when their match is called may receive a match loss and be eliminated from the tournament.


Pokkén Tournament DX Senior and Masters Divisions

  • Players must check in by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18.

  • It is recommended that players check in during the main check-in window on Wednesday, August 17.

  • Players must be present in the Pokkén Tournament DX area by 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 19. Bracket information will be provided at that time.

  • Players who do not show up to their winner’s bracket match when their match is called may receive a match loss and be sent to the loser’s bracket.

  • Players who do not show up to their loser’s bracket match when their match is called may receive a match loss and be eliminated from the tournament.


Pokémon UNITE Masters Division

Teams must check in on Wednesday by 8:00 p.m.

Teams must be present in the Pokémon UNITE area by 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18. On Thursday, teams will participate in activities to prepare for the main event. The main event will be held on Friday and Saturday.
