As our heroes continue their journey to Mistralton City, a stampeding herd of Bouffalant causes everyone to run for their lives! Iris, Axew, Snivy, Oshawott, and Tepig run in one direction, while Ash, Cilan, Pikachu, Emolga, Pansage, and Excadrill dash off in another.

Iris’s group runs into Nurse Joy, who warns them that they have trespassed into Bouffalant territory. When Iris asks about her unusual hairstyle, Nurse Joy explains that she and her Audino are wearing curly wigs that seem to keep the Bouffalant from stampeding. Reluctantly, Iris and the Pokémon in her group don the wigs and go looking for Ash and the others—and it turns out Nurse Joy was right when the next Bouffalant they encounter doesn’t charge at them!

Meanwhile, Ash and his group have been looking for Iris, and thanks to some bad timing, they run into Nurse Joy just a few minutes after Iris leaves. She explains the situation with the wigs and the Bouffalant to them, and they put on curly wigs and resume their search for Iris.

Out in the wilds, Iris discovers an injured Bouffalant, and Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott help her find some healing herbs to treat it—losing their protective wigs in the process. But when several angry Bouffalant confront Iris and her group, the now-healed Bouffalant charges in to protect them!

Soon, all of our heroes are reunited and shown the way to safety. After saying goodbye to Nurse Joy and Audino, they are once again on their way to Mistralton City!
