May is overjoyed when she wins free tickets for her and all of her friends to Ever Grande City—that is until she discovers they have in fact boarded a non-stop flight to Team Rocket headquarters. When Jessie and James botch this latest trap and the plane is forced to crash-land, our heroes find themselves stranded with Team Rocket on a deserted island. Further disheartening news comes when they meet the island’s only human inhabitant, who informs them that the island, surrounded by whirlpools and buffeted constantly by strong winds, is practicably unreachable from the outside world.
