Tadbulb Debuts in the Pokémon GO Festival of Lights Event

Brighten your day with light-themed Pokémon, research, event bonuses, and more.

The Pokémon GO Festival of Lights event runs through November 12, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time, offering a lasting light amidst darkening days. The Electric-type Tadbulb makes its illuminating Pokémon GO debut alongside its Evolution, Bellibolt. Net yourself some egg-cellent rewards with event bonuses like double Stardust and Candy for hatching Pokémon—and Incense used during the event will last twice as long.

Shed some light on important research questions with Timed Research focused on exploring and catching Pokémon. Complete the research to earn an event-exclusive shirt avatar item and encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Also, take on Field Research tasks to earn encounters with Darumaka, Morelull, and Tadbulb.

Throughout the Festival of Lights, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.

  • Pikachu

  • Vulpix

  • Ponyta

  • Magnemite

  • Voltorb

  • Chinchou

  • Mareep

  • Slugma

  • Electrike

  • Litwick

  • Morelull

  • Tadbulb
