The Season of Heritage continues with the Mountains of Power event, running through January 13, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Professor Willow’s research of the mysterious door continues with Team Leader Spark at his side. Help the two by completing research tasks focused on catching Pokémon, earning Buddy Candy, and hatching Eggs, and you’ll earn reward encounters with Fire-, Rock-, and Steel-type Pokémon, such as the magnificent Mawile or unbending Beldum. Completing Field Research tasks will earn you encounters with Alolan Geodude, Slugma, and Mawile.
To celebrate this massively monumental mountainous event, Shiny Slugma and Mega Aerodactyl will be appearing in Pokémon GO for the first time. The Mountains of Power event is also the perfect opportunity to become Best Buddies with your Pokémon, as the walking distance required to earn hearts with your buddy will be halved.
Pokémon appearing in the wild during the Mountains of Power event include Zubat, Machop, Geodude, Slugma, Nosepass, and Barboach. If you’re lucky, you might encounter Shiny Onix, Shiny Slugma, or Shiny Ferroseed.

Three-star raids: Ursaring, Donphan, Medicham, Absol
