Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield International Friendly Online Competition Battles Have Begun

Trainers can see how they fare against global competition in this exhibition tournament using the official battle format.

The first battles have started in the latest Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Online Competition! Trainers who registered for the International Friendly can now compete to see how they do against rivals from around the world. Competitors will be permitted to use the same Pokémon on their teams as the Trainers who battled it out in the Pokémon Players Cup Video Game Invitational, so it’s a great time to see how your strategies fare against the best.

Trainers who complete at least one battle before the International Friendly concludes on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 4:59 p.m. PDT will earn 50 Battle Points once rankings are announced. To claim your in-game gift, remember to complete at least one battle in the International Friendly, then follow these steps:

  1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.

  2. Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.

  3. Select Get a Mystery Gift.

  4. Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.

Note that players may receive penalties and be restricted from participating in future online events if there are a significantly large number of disconnects during their battles, starting from when the opponent has been decided until match results have been fully sent to the server. Please ensure a stable connection environment when connecting to the internet.

See how well you and your Pokémon perform in this fun competition, Trainers!
