Pokémon GO’s December 2020 Community Day Lasts an Entire Weekend!

On December 12 and 13, Pokémon GO Trainers can catch Pokémon featured in Community Days throughout 2019 and 2020.

Pokémon GO is celebrating its final Community Day of the year with a weekend-long event looking back at the many Pokémon featured in Community Days throughout 2019 and 2020. The event kicks off on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 6:00 a.m. and will run until Sunday, December 13, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time. Throughout this period, Pokémon featured in 2019 Community Days like Totodile, Swinub, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Slakoth, Trapinch, Bagon, Turtwig, and Chimchar will be appearing in raids and hatching from Eggs. Trainers will also be able to enjoy bonuses like double catch Stardust, halved Egg Hatch Distance, and three-hour Incense duration.

Different Pokémon will also be appearing in the wild and in Mega Raids on Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time. On Saturday, December 12, Pokémon like Weedle, Abra, Gastly, Rhyhorn, Seedot, and Piplup will be appearing more often in the wild, and Mega Gengar will be appearing in Mega Raids. On Sunday, December 13, Pokémon like Charmander, Electabuzz, Magmar, Magikarp, and Porygon will be appearing more often in the wild, and Mega Charizard X will be appearing in Mega Raids. Each Pokémon featured in the December 2020 Community Day weekend will be able to learn the exclusive attacks from their respective 2019 and 2020 Community Day appearances, so make sure to evolve them before the end of the event! If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Pokémon!

There will be free Timed Research available throughout the weekend, along with exclusive Special Research available through the in-game shop for US$1 (or the equivalent in your local currency). In addition, a Community Day bundle will be available in the shop to help you make the most of this special weekend.

Happy Community Day(s)!
