Earlier this year, we announced the winners of the Pokémon Illustration Contest 2022. Over 10,000 artists submitted illustrations that followed the theme, “the daily life of Pokémon.” In January 2023, fans of the Pokémon TCG will have the opportunity to add these award-winning artworks to their collection as Pokémon TCG promos! Fans can sign up at the Illustration Contest prize promotional page to receive a code for use at Pokémon Center.

REND was awarded the grand prize for their depiction of the mighty Arcanine enjoying a powerful yawn on a sunny day. Japan’s first runner-up, Taiga Kasai, portrayed the stealthy Greninja traversing a meadow alongside Froakie and Frogadier. The United States’ first runner-up, Julie Hang, showcased Bulbasaur joyfully hanging from a tree branch with its vines.
