Make Some Space for Irida & Glaceon in Pokémon Masters EX

Fresh from Hisui’s frosty frontier, Irida debuts on Pasio alongside her icy partner Glaceon.

Look into the past and step into the future with Irida & Glaceon! The Leader of the Pearl Clan from the Hisui region has mysteriously arrived on Pasio amidst the threat of space-time distortions. Are these space-time distortions the result of mighty Dialga or mighty Palkia? And is there any way to stop the distortions from ravaging Pasio? With the island thrown into turmoil, an unlikely ally might just have the answers.

Irida & Glaceon are an Ice-type tech sync pair that cause a hailstorm with Watch for Ice when they turn the field of play’s zone into an Ice Zone with Ice Wish. During a hailstorm, Irida & Glaceon’s Space Spreads over Hisui passive skill powers up the moves of all allied sync pairs and quickly charges the move gauge. They can also launch their powerful buddy move, B Ice Beam, during a hailstorm, which will lower the target’s Sp. Def by four stat ranks—setting said foe up for an avalanche of special damage!

Irida & Glaceon are available to scout until July 9, 2023, at 10:59 p.m. PDT. Having also just arrived on Pasio, Adaman & Leafeon are available to scout until July 9, 2023, at 10:59 p.m. PDT.

Recommended Pairs to Partner with Irida & Glaceon

Candice & Froslass

Irida & Glaceon can create a hailstorm, and while this chilly tempest benefits most Ice-type strike sync pairs, Candice & Froslass take it to the max thanks to their Invigorating Hail 5 and Hasty Hail 2 passive skills. The former powers up Candice & Froslass’s moves by 50% during a hailstorm, and the latter quickly charges the move gauge during a hailstorm.

Candice & Froslass can also cause a hailstorm all on their own with Hail, bringing on the benefits of Irida & Glaceon’s Space Spreads over Hisui. On top of all that, Candice’s Sinnoh theme skill increases the bonuses Irida’s Sinnoh Spirit provides!

Candice & Froslass can be acquired by exchanging a BP Sync Pair Voucher in the Battle Point Item Exchange.

Melony & Lapras

Irida prefers cold environments, so it’s only natural that she works best with other Trainers that also prefer chilling with Ice-type Pokémon. Melony & Lapras are an Ice-type support sync pair that boost Irida & Glaceon’s defenses with their max move, G-Max Resonance, as well as their Trainer move, I Won’t Hold Back! Combined with the damage reduction of Irida & Glaceon’s Space Spreads over Hisui and Sinnoh Spirit, these Ice-type sync pairs’ HP won’t be melting away any time soon.

Melony & Lapras are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and 5★-Guaranteed Galar Ticket Scout.

Stay frosty, Trainers!
