They are coming—inevitable as the tide and as floofy as...well, a whole bunch of Bidoof. From Friday, June 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time, you can experience a Bidoof Breakout in Pokémon GO. During this event, Bidoof will be appearing more often in the wild, in raids, and in reward encounters for completing event-exclusive Field Research. The number of wild Bidoof that appear is likely to increase over the course of the event as well—if you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Bidoof, which is making its Pokémon GO debut.

Bidoof’s New Moves

On certain days of the event, the Bidoof you encounter will know attacks that they can’t normally learn. Below is a list of the special moves that these Bidoof will know and when you should expect to see them.

• Shadow Ball: Friday, June 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. local time

• Thunderbolt: Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, June 28, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. local time

• Ice Beam: Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 12:00 a.m. to Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. local time

If you miss any of these special Bidoof, don’t worry! On Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time, you can use a Charged TM to teach Bidoof any of the attacks listed above, and after the event, you’ll be able to teach those attacks to Bidoof by using an Elite Charged TM. Finally, if you evolve a Bidoof into Bibarel during the event, that Bibarel will learn Hyper Beam.

Rescue Bidoof from Team GO Rocket

You can bet that Team GO Rocket will be getting a slice of the action, too, so expect to see lots of Bidoof that’ve been turned into Shadow Pokémon. It’ll be up to you to rescue and purify those poor Bidoof.

Bidoofworthy Bonuses

There’s clearly a lot going on during this Bidoof Breakout, but there will also be some cool bonuses available over the course of the event. Check out the schedule below to see how much more Catch XP you’ll be able to earn.

Don’t forget to spin a lot of PokéStops and open a lot of Gifts during the event, either, as doing so will net you some sweet Bidoof Stickers.
