The P25 Music program, which celebrates Pokémon’s landmark 25th anniversary with some of the biggest names in music, kicks off on Pokémon Day, February 27, 2021, with Post Malone’s virtual concert. Fans will be able to tune in to this free concert on Pokémon’s 25th Anniversary website, the official Pokémon YouTube channel, or the official Pokémon Twitch channel starting at 4:00 p.m. PST. After the concert, more details about P25 Music will be revealed, so make sure to stick around after the show.

Video Game Thrills

There are some great events happening in Pokémon video games as well. Starting on February 25, players will be able to add a special Pikachu to their copy of Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield with a special password that you’ll find here on Pokemon.com, on Pokémon’s 25th Anniversary website, and on Pokémon’s official social media channels. The password will also be distributed via the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter. In keeping with the P25 Music celebration, this Pikachu will know the move Sing, an attack that it can’t normally learn.

Pokémon GO players should be gearing up for February 20, the day of the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto event. During this event, you’ll have the opportunity to collect the original 150 Pokémon that appeared in the original Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Green Version. Tickets for Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto are available now in Pokémon GO’s in-game shop, so don’t miss your chance to join in on the fun.

Cool Cartoons and Collectible Cards

To help get you into a musical mood for Post Malone’s Pokémon Day concert on February 27, you can tune in to Pokémon TV or use the Pokémon TV mobile app starting on that day to watch a selection of music-themed episodes of Pokémon the Series. Reliving some of Ash’s classic adventures makes for a perfect lead-in to the big show.

On February 26, you’ll also be able to find the Pokémon Trading Card Game: First Partner Collector’s Binder at participating retailers. This binder is emblazoned with the Pokémon 25th Anniversary logo and is designed to store oversize Pokémon TCG cards featuring all the first partner Pokémon, which will release throughout 2021. To start your collection off right, the binder comes with an oversize Pikachu card. Look for the initial First Partner Pack that features the first partner Pokémon of the Galar region on March 6.

And just think—this is only the beginning of this yearlong celebration! Remember that you can visit the Pokémon’s 25th Anniversary website for the latest updates on the festivities.
