The Pokkén Tournament DX Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) is the final opportunity for players to earn a spot in the Pokkén Tournament World Championships. The tournament takes place on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The top Masters division player and the top Senior division player from the tournament will receive an invitation to play the following day, Saturday, August 17, at the World Championships main event, where they'll be competing against other players from previous qualifying events for great prizes!
If the Tournament Organizer is notified of a no-show of a qualified invited competitor, that spot may be replaced by qualifying additional players through the LCQ. This will be announced before the LCQ begins on Friday.
The LCQ is open to anyone not already qualified for a World Championship event. The entry fee for the Pokkén Tournament DX LCQ is $30 for all participants. Registration for the LCQ includes a spectator badge to the Pokémon World Championships for the entrant. Players under age 18 will receive one additional spectator badge and lanyard at no charge for a parent or guardian. Additionally, all participants will receive six Pokémon TCG booster packs. Entry fees are non-refundable.
The Pokkén Tournament DX LCQ will be a Double Elimination competition. Players must adhere to the Pokkén Tournament DX rules and the Play! Pokémon general event rules. All players must bring their own controller for this event. The only permitted controller is the Pokkén Tournament DX Pro Pad controller by Hori.
Pokkén Tournament DX LCQ entrants must pick up their spectator badges prior to entering the event hall. All players must attend a pre-event player meeting at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, August 16, in Halls D and E of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the Pokkén Tournament event area.
