We all know Pokémon Sleep can help you rest your very best, but is your resting best better than the rest? Catch the Pokémon Sleep Champion Tournament 2024 video above—it will undoubtedly inspire you to reach the top of the bedtime bracket.

Those nap-letes are clearly some of the world’s heartiest hay hitters, but with drive, dedication, and a comfy pillow, anyone can become a Pokémon Sleep champ. If you’ve ever slept (and we bet you have), you have the sleeper skills to go the distance!

To become a world-class sleeperstar, you can’t just rest on your laurels. Daily—well, nightly, most likely—practice is necessary to perfect your dozing, snoozing, and slumbering to make the most of your sleep and encourage Pokémon to gather around your in-game Snorlax partner. Here are some winning tips to turn your championship dreams into reality.

Counting Pokémon

If you’re having trouble falling asleep, counting Pokémon is a tried-and-true method to relax your brain enough to send you sweetly off to the Land of Nod. Counting Mareep or Wooloo is traditional, but we wouldn’t fault you for counting Mr. Mime if that puts you into a restful state. We won’t judge.

Drink Warm Milk

They say a warm cup of milk (Moomoo or otherwise) may help some people fall sleep at night. This soothing beverage can certainly create a comforting mood, but please watch how much liquid you drink before bed. It’s cute when Magikarp pulls off a Splash attack, but it’s less amusing when you’re doing the same at 3:00 a.m.

Listen to Relaxing Music

Creating a peaceful environment is important when going to sleep. Having a gentle soundtrack playing quietly in the background as you drift off can give you a productive (and tournament-winning) rest. We recommend the Verdanturf Town theme from Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire or the Ballonlea theme from Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Just maybe avoid Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue’s Lavender Town theme. It’s gonna be hard to bring home the championship title when you’re having nonstop nightmares.

No matter what you do to improve your bedtime routine, in the world of Pokémon Sleep, there are no winners or losers—only snoozers. Download Pokémon Sleep on iOS and Android devices now and start practicing. Perhaps some night soon you’ll find yourself stepping into a sleep booth of your own at the Pokémon Sleep Champion Tournament!

Or perhaps, more realistically, you won’t—because this was an April Fools’ Day joke. But hey, maybe if we keep dreaming, this competition will one day make it to our waking world.
