Pokémon GO’s Carnival event is back, but this year it’s devoted to the debut of a Pokémon known for standing on one leg and serving aggressive side eye. The Carnival of Flamigo event soars into Pokémon GO from February 3 at 10:00 a.m. to February 8, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. In addition to encountering Flamigo for the first time in Pokémon GO, Pokémon appearing in the wild will include Lotad, Buneary, Spritzee, Pikipek, and more.

Get ready to enjoy event bonuses, including the chance to add some Shiny Pokémon to your Pokédex.

• 2× Daily Adventure Incense duration

• 500 additional Stardust for catching Flamigo

• An increased chance of encountering Shiny Lotad, Shiny Spritzee, and Shiny Pikipek

You’ll have to fight hard to keep up with event research that includes Field Research, Collection Challenges, Timed Research, and paid Timed Research. Complete event-themed Field Research to earn encounters with event-themed Pokémon, and take on the Collection Challenges to earn XP, Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

Trainers who complete the free Timed Research will earn two Incense, Stardust, encounters with event-themed Pokémon, and more. Paid Timed Research is available for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency.) This research will award one Star Piece, an event-themed avatar pose, encounters with event-themed Pokémon, and more. Just remember that both sets of Timed Research must be completed and rewards claimed by February 8, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
