Challenge Regigigas during Pokémon GO’s Solstice-Themed Event

Celebrate the solstice by catching different Pokémon depending on your location.

Whether you’re savoring the longest days of the year or settling in for lengthy nights, Pokémon GO is ready to celebrate with you. From Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, June 20, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon GO’s solstice-themed event will offer different themed Pokémon, raids, and research based on which hemisphere you’re in.

Wondering which Pokémon will be appearing in each hemisphere? Well, look no further!

Northern Hemisphere

Trainers in the northern hemisphere can look forward to Pokémon like Yanma, Chimchar, and Summer Form Deerling appearing more often in wild, and lucky Trainers may even find a Shiny Yanma. In raids, Pokémon like Alolan Marowak, Yanma, and Petilil will be appearing. There will also be event-exclusive Field Research tasks that reward Silver Pinap Berries and encounters with Yanma.

Southern Hemisphere

Trainers in the southern hemisphere can look forward to Pokémon like Snorunt, Snover, and Winter Form Deerling appearing more often in the wild, and lucky Trainers may even find a Shiny Snorunt. In raids, Pokémon like Lapras, Piloswine, and Snorunt will be appearing. There will also be event-exclusive Field Research tasks that reward Silver Pinap Berries and encounters with Snorunt.

Regardless of your location, the Legendary Pokémon Regigigas will be appearing in five-star Raid Battles throughout the event and all the way to Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time. If you’re lucky, you might even find a Shiny one!

In addition to the Pokémon appearing exclusively in each hemisphere during the solstice-themed event, Trainers everywhere can expect to see Pokémon like Lunatone, Solrock, and Spheal appearing more often in the wild. Lunatone, Solrock, Klink, and more will also be appearing in raids worldwide. Be sure to bring a Buddy Pokémon along on your solstice adventures, too, as the walking distance required to earn hearts with your buddy will be halved during the event. Your buddy will also bring you Gifts more frequently during the event.

Have a super solstice, Trainers!
