Pokémon TCG League Cup Tournaments

Pokémon TCG League Cup tournaments give players an opportunity to earn Championship Points and practice their skills for larger competitions.

2018 Pokémon TCG League Cup Information

League Cup events will use the following cycle dates:

*Note that sanctioning dates may not match Best Finish Limit quarters. For example: an event held on February 10 will count for the November through January Best Finish Limit.

  • Events run between July 1 and October 31, 2017

    • Best Finish Limit quarter: July through October 2017

  • Events run between November 17 and February 15, 2018

    • Best Finish Limit quarter: November 2017 through January 2018

  • Events run between February 16 and May 17, 2018

    • Best Finish Limit quarter: February through April 2018

  • Events run between May 18, 2018, and the end of the tournament season

    • Best Finish Limit quarter: May 2018 through the end of the tournament season

Event requirements

The Pokémon TCG League Cup events do not require an invitation or qualification. All players who have Trainer Club accounts and are in good standing with the Play! Pokémon rules are welcome to participate. Players need to bring their own 60-card deck. League Cup may use either the Standard format or the Expanded format, at the discretion of the Tournament Organizer.

Entry Fee

Players may be charged an entry fee determined by the Tournament Organizer. See event listing or contact the Tournament Organizer for details.

Participants will receive 2 Play! Points just for playing.

First-place finishers in each of three age divisions (Junior, Senior, and Masters) will also receive a League Cup playmat. Check with the Tournament Organizer for more details on what, if any, additional prizes may be offered.
