Pokémon TCG League Cup Tournaments

Put your Pokémon TCG skills to the test in League Cups hosted by many Play! Pokémon Stores. These events are a step up from League Challenge competitions, featuring an increased Championship Point payout and giving players more opportunities to test their skills in preparation for larger events.

  • Players of all skill levels welcome

  • Have fun with other Pokémon fans

  • Events held throughout the year

  • No qualifications or residency restrictions

Players need to bring their own legal 60-card deck. See the tournament listings for details.

In order to participate, players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account; be in good standing with the Play! Pokémon program; and comply with current COVID-19 requirements for in-store Pokémon events.

Registration for these events is handled by the local Tournament Organizer of a Play! Pokémon Store, and an entry fee may be charged at their discretion. Please check the Event Locator for details about each event, including information regarding registration.

Remember, while we frequently update our events schedule, we recommend that you contact the local Tournament Organizer to confirm event schedule information.

2022 Pokémon TCG League Cup events

First-place finishers in each of three age divisions (Junior, Senior, and Masters) will also receive a League Cup playmat. Check with the Tournament Organizer for more details on what, if any, additional prizes may be offered.

Pokémon TCG Cups

At some events, like Regional Championships, Pokémon TCG Cups will take place. These events will have the same Championship Point awards as a League Cup and will be included in the same Best Finish Limit, but will not distribute promo cards, playmats, or other League-exclusive prizes typically found at a League Cup.
