The requirements to host Play! Pokémon events differ by the type of event. Become an official Play! Pokémon Store for the Pokémon Trading Card Game in order to get access to the following events.

Pokémon League

The Pokémon League is the entry point for the Play! Pokémon Grassroots Program in your store.

• Your store must meet the criteria listed here in order to participate in this program. All applications will be reviewed for eligibility.

• Only one League may exist per venue, and attempts to create a Pokémon League in a location that already hosts one will be denied.

• Should a League already exist in your store, please contact us to take official ownership over the sanctioned Pokémon activities in your store.

Prerelease Tournament

Pokémon Prerelease tournaments are available to eligible Play! Pokémon Store organizers.

To be eligible to host your first Prerelease tournament:

• You must have successfully reported 2 of the 3 most recent prior League Seasons.

To maintain eligibility:

• You must have reported accurately for 2 of the 3 most recent League Seasons.

• You must have successfully reported on the most recent prior Prerelease.

League Challenge

These events offer small Championship Point payouts to get players started on their road to the Pokémon World Championships. To be eligible to host your first League Challenge, you must have:

• Hosted a Pokémon League at your location for at least 3 months.

• Reported accurately for 2 of the 3 most recent League Seasons.

To maintain eligibility, you must have:

• Reported accurately for 2 of the 3 most recent League Seasons.

• Successfully reported 2 of your 3 most recent League Challenges.

League Cup

These events are also held at participating Play! Pokémon game stores. They offer higher Championship Point awards to top finishers. To be eligible to host your first League Cup, you must have:

• Hosted a Pokémon League at your location for at least 6 months.

• Reported accurately for the 3 most recent League Seasons.

• Successfully reported the 3 most recent League Challenges.

To maintain eligibility, you must have:

• Successfully reported 2 of your 3 most recent League Challenges.

• Reported accurately for 2 of the 3 most recent League Seasons.

• Successfully reported on the most recent prior League Cup.
