Compete against other Pokémon TCG and video game players in the Pokémon Championship Series! The Championship Series consists of tournaments around the world that offer a competitive atmosphere where players can demonstrate their Pokémon gaming skills. Players who consistently perform well in the Championship Series can earn prizes, as well as invitations to the Pokémon World Championships, the pinnacle of Pokémon competitive play.
Pokémon Championship Series tournaments take place year-round. There are multiple tiers of events to give players plenty of opportunities to compete, from smaller Premier and League Challenges to larger Regional Championships. Above that, there are Pokémon International Championships that attract players from around the world. These are open events with minimal participation requirements, but top players may also qualify for a Travel Award to participate in these events. At the end of the season, the top-performing players from each region will be invited to the Pokémon World Championships in August to compete for the largest prizes in the Pokémon Championship Series and for the title of Pokémon World Champion. Use the Event Locator to find out where you can compete in your area.
Most Championship Series tournaments are open to players of all skill levels. Additionally, most smaller tournaments require no advance registration—all you need to do is show up with a valid Pokémon TCG deck or video game and system. Tournaments at the Regionals level and above may require advanced registration; be sure to check the tournament listing for details. Entry fees are at the discretion of the Tournament Organizer.
To participate in any Championship Series tournament, you must be a player in good standing and abide by the Pokémon Tournament Rules and all other applicable event rules. Players who are found to be in violation of the rules of eligibility are subject to suspension from the Play! Pokémon program and to the loss of prizes, including, but not limited to, invitations and Travel Awards.
Most Pokémon Championship Series events are operated by independent Tournament Organizers. Please contact the Tournament Organizers for specific information about their venue or scheduling.

The Pokémon World Championships are exclusive to competitors who have earned a high amount of Championship Points during the season, but all fans are welcome to come witness the excitement of the most prestigious event in the Pokémon Championship Series. Please review the Pokémon World Championships FAQ to learn more.
