Pokémon TCG World Championships Invitations
Pokémon Organized Play awards invitations to the Pokémon World Championships via the methods listed below. These lists break down how invitations will be distributed over the course of the 2012–2013 tournament season. View invitation information for the Video Game World Championships.
2013 Pokémon TCG World Championships
2012 World Champions
The top 4 finishers from each age division at the 2012 World Championships were awarded 500 Championship Points and a Travel Award to compete again in the 2013 World Championships.
2013 Season Championship Points
Players must earn a predetermined number of Championship Points to secure an invitation to the 2013 World Championships in August. The points required vary by geographic region, as listed below:
North America: 400 Championship Points
Europe (and South Africa): 400 Championship Points
Latin America: 200 Championship Points
Asia Pacific: 200 Championship Points
Each country’s National Championship also awards an amount of Championship Points guaranteeing invitations to a predetermined number of players.

2013 Last Chance Qualifier Tournament
The Last Chance Qualifier Tournament is a Single Elimination format tournament held on Friday, August 9th, 2013, at the World Championships location. The top 8 finishers in each age division will move on to play in the main event on Saturday, August 10th.
Play! Pokémon Sponsored Travel Awards
Play! Pokémon awards paid travel and accommodations at some National Championship events. Travel Awards are given to the first-place finisher in each age division, unless otherwise noted. National Championships receiving sponsored Travel Awards are as follows:

All other invitations are awarded without Play! Pokémon travel sponsorships.
Players outside of North America are encouraged to ask their local Organized Play providers if they will be sponsoring Travel Awards for qualified players who did not receive a POP-sponsored Travel Award.
Championship Point Invitations
Championship Point invitations are awarded when players reach the points threshold for the region where they reside. Players can earn only one invitation. Invitations are not transferrable. Players who have not opted in to Ratings and Rankings or who have not accepted the Play! Pokémon terms of use are subject to forfeit of their invitation and/or Travel Award.
2013 Pokémon VG World Championships
2012 World Champions
The top two VG finishers from each age division at the 2012 World Championships received a Travel Award and invitation to compete at the 2013 World Championships.
2013 Season Championship Points
Players will receive invitations to the 2013 World Championships based on their final Championship Point standings.
North America: Top 12 players based on Championship Point standings, per division
Europe (and South Africa): Top 16 Senior and Masters Division players and top 32 Junior Division players, based on Championship Point standings

Play! Pokémon Sponsored Travel Awards
Play! Pokémon awards paid travel and accommodations at some National Championship events. For the Pokémon Video Game Championships, these events will be held in the United States, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
The top 8 Junior Division players, top 4 Senior Division players, and top 4 Masters Division players at each event will earn Travel Awards to the 2013 Pokémon World Championships.
Championship Point Invitations
