Time to Prime Your TCG Deck!

The Pokémon TCG: HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion introduces a new type of powerful Pokémon cards with Pokémon Primes!
There's a new kind of Pokémon coming to your TCG deck! Check out Pokémon Primes, cards that are ready for battle! You can tell which cards are Pokémon Primes by the cool foil and the ragged edges around the Pokémon art. Check out some of the Pokémon Primes from the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion!
Ampharos Prime
The Stage 2 Pokémon Ampharos Prime (105/123) crackles with the ability to force your opponents into inaction... or else suffer the consequences! To mete out significant damage, Ampharos Prime doesn't even have to leave your Bench: its Conductivity Poké-Body forces your opponent to put a damage counter onto one of his or her Pokémon every time he or she attaches an Energy card to that Pokémon! And when you finally decide to make Ampharos Prime your Active Pokémon, it's more than capable of holding its own. Moves that require a coin flip usually have a risk of some unfortunate side effect. Not so with Lightning Crush, which first does 40 damage, then a flip of the coin to determine whether the Defending Pokémon takes an extra 40 damage or must discard an Energy attached to it. It's a win-win attack for both you and your Ampharos Prime!
Blissey Prime
A quick look at Blissey Prime (106/123) and you might think the Happiness Pokémon has something of a mean side. Well, not quite: the Stage-1 Pokémon's Blissful Nurse Poké-Power lets you remove all the damage counters from all your Pokémon when Blissey comes into play to evolve a Pokémon. But, like a nurse with a needle says, this might hurt a little-you have to remove all the Energy attached to the Pokémon you healed as well. Once Blissey Prime becomes your Active Pokémon, recovery time is over! Its Strength attack lets you rough up the defending Pokémon to the tune of 60 damage!
Donphan Prime
When the thickheaded Donphan Prime (107/123) lumbers onto the battlefield, all Pokémon better take notice! This hard-hitting Stage 1 Pokémon has two attacks that will shake up the game: its Earthquake attack delivers 60 damage to the Defending Pokémon for a mere 1 Fighting Energy. The downside is that Earthquake's aftershocks will do 10 damage to each of the Pokémon on your Bench, too. For a more straightforward attack, Heavy Impact does a solid 90 damage for a cost of 3 Fighting Energy. In addition to its impressive attacking power, Donphan Prime also protects itself quite well with its Exoskeleton Poké-Body, which reduces damage any time Donphan Prime is hit. So, for both offense and defense, Donphan Prime doesn't have a single fault!
