Leafeon Power!

Use Special Conditions to help make Leafeon dominate in battle!
The HS—Undaunted expansion counts several Evolutions of Eevee (47/90 and 48/90) in its ranks, including two effective Pokémon Prime. As a result, it's tempting to look for ways to stack your deck with four different Evolved forms of Eevee.
However, there are a couple of reasons why this might not end up being the easiest or most effective strategy. Firstly, you probably need to carry multiple Energy types in your deck, which can be frustrating and introduce unnecessary complication. Secondly, you can have only four Eevee cards in your deck, so it's not as if you can create a useable deck using Eevee and its Evolutions exclusively!
Evolving a Better Eevee Deck
Better practice is to focus on just one or two of the Eevee cards, then build around them with proper support from other Pokémon. Unfortunately, this approach makes Espeon Prime (81/90) and Umbreon Prime (86/90) less effective, as they benefit from having many Evolved Eevee cards in play.
Espeon (2/90) has a couple of useful attacks. One of these—Solar Suggestion—lets you shift four damage counters from any of your Pokémon to any of your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like.
Umbreon's (10/90) Moonlight Fang attack nullifies any effects, including damage, on Umbreon during your opponent's next turn. This is limited to those Pokémon that have Poké-Powers or Poké-Bodies, but it still works against many of the most powerful Pokémon in the game.
The Ultimate Evolution
One card stands out as having extra potential in battle: Leafeon (17/90) can inflict tremendous damage, without requiring much Energy and without the help of other Evolved Eevee cards. The marquee attack in Leafeon's arsenal is Miasma Wind. This attack does 50 damage for each Special Condition affecting the Defending Pokémon.
This adds up fast! If the defending Pokémon is Burned, Miasma Wind does 50 damage. If the Defending Pokémon is Burned, Poisoned, and Paralyzed, this attack does 150 damage—enough to knock out pretty much any Pokémon you'll face! Miasma Wind is a particularly easy attack to use because it requires only one Colorless Energy.
Inflicting a Special Condition on the Defending Pokémon does make using Miasma Wind a little bit of a challenge, but Leafeon can even get you started with that: its Soothing Scent attack not only does 30 damage, it also puts the Defending Pokémon to sleep. Providing that the Defending Pokémon doesn't wake up, you'll do 50 damage on your next turn. And with support from several other Pokémon, you don't have to wait a turn to power up Miasma Wind!
Conditions With a Little Help
Check out Hypno's (HeartGold & SoulSilver, 23/123) Sleep Pendulum Poké-Power: on the flip of a coin, you can put the Defending Pokémon to Sleep. This attack cannot be used if Hypno itself is affected by a Special Condition—so bear that in mind!
Similarly, Houndoom Prime (82/90) can Burn an opposing Pokémon with its Fire Breath Poké-Power with the flip of a coin. Again, this cannot be used if Houndoom itself is affected by a Special Condition.
Lastly, Roserade (HS—Unleashed, 23/95) can use its Energy Signal Poké-Power to Confuse or Poison the Defending Pokémon—depending on whether you attach a Grass Energy or a Psychic Energy to Roserade. Better yet, a Rainbow Energy card will cause both effects: the Defending Pokémon will be both Confused and Poisoned!
Most importantly, you can use all of these Poké-Powers from your Bench, and all on the same turn before you attack with Leafeon!
With the right support, Leafeon can be a major player in your next deck. So, look for more ways to power up Miasma Wind, and find a winning team that works for you!
