Black & White—Plasma Freeze
Don’t ignore Exeggcute (4/116) just because of its low HP and so-so attack. This Basic Pokémon’s Propagation Ability has a ton of awesome uses that make this Pokémon incredibly handy. Once every turn, Propagation lets you retrieve Exeggcute from the discard pile and put it into your hand. What’s the point, you may ask? Well, if you play a card that requires you to discard, such as Ultra Ball (Black & White—Dark Explorers, 102/108), you can discard Exeggcute and then use its Ability to get it right back! It’s also a great pairing with Empoleon (Black & White—Dark Explorers, 29/108): you can use Empoleon’s Diving Draw Ability to discard Exeggcute and draw 2 cards, then use Propagation to return Exeggcute to your hand. As long as Empoleon is in play, you can repeat this process every turn!
Looking for a hot new way to power up your Fire-type Pokémon? Check out Chandelure (16/116) and its Flare Navigate Ability. Flare Navigate lets you search your deck for a Fire Energy and attach it to 1 of your Pokémon, which then gets a damage counter. More often than not, the extra Energy is worth the damage, especially with the high-requirement, high-reward attacks that are common among Fire-type Pokémon.
Thundurus-EX (38/116) is a solid teammate for the other Team Plasma Pokémon in your deck, as well as a potent Pokémon on its own. Use its Raiden Knuckle attack to keep the Energy flowing from your discard pile to your Benched Team Plasma Pokémon, and Thunderous Noise to keep your opponent on the defensive!
Make your next Team Plasma deck even more effective with Metagross (52/116)! Every turn, search your deck for a Team Plasma card with its Plasma Search Ability, whether it’s a Team Plasma Pokémon, Trainer, or Energy you need!
As if Team Plasma Pokémon weren't powerful enough, Deoxys-EX (53/116) makes them even more potent! Its Power Connect Ability makes any of your Team Plasma Pokémon's attacks do 10 more damage!
Add power and utility with Tornadus-EX (98/116)! First turn over your hand with Windfall, letting you shuffle your hand into your deck and draw six new cards. Then strike with the force of Team Plasma Energy with Tornadus-EX's Jet Blast, which does 60 damage plus 30 more damage for each Team Plasma Energy attached to it!
True to his wicked character, the Ghetsis (101/116) Supporter card will frustrate your opponents to no end! First, your opponent shuffles all Item cards in his or her hand into his or her deck. Then, you draw a number of cards equal to the number of Item cards your opponent had! It's truly a game-changing card effective in any deck.
Team Plasma Ball
There are just too many good Team Plasma Pokémon not to consider making a deck using them. And now there’s one more reason for such a deck: the Team Plasma Ball (105/116) Trainer-Item card. Team Plasma Ball lets you dig any Team Plasma Pokémon out of your deck. Call even the toughest Pokémon-EX into play—as long as it’s on Team Plasma’s side—and get ready to attack early and often!
Make your opponent think twice about attacking when the Rock Guard (108/116) Tool is attached to your Pokémon! This ACE SPEC card will do a harsh 60 damage back at any Pokémon that attacks, provided it's attached to your Active Pokémon.
