Play! Points reward Pokémon TCG and video game players for simply doing what they love: playing Pokémon. You earn Play! Points at every official Pokémon tournament or League season you participate in. Larger events such as Championship Series competitions award even more Play! Points.
Play! Points may be used to qualify players for certain high-level events such as Regional Championships (at the discretion of the Tournament Organizer), as well as a way for players to compare their event participation to others worldwide. Play! Points differ from Championship Points because they reward players just for playing, while Championship Points reward players for high placement at tournaments.
Play! Points will be awarded only to players who complete at least two rounds of a tournament. Any byes do not count toward this two-round total. Forced losses for late arrival do not count toward the two-round total, either.
Play! Points are awarded only for playing in events. Event staff who have been accepted into the Professor Program will earn Professor Credits for organizational duties. Professors will be able to qualify for events that require Play! Points based on the Professor Credits they have earned.
To earn Play! Points, set up a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Play! Pokémon Player ID, set your preferences to opt in to Play! Pokémon programs, and then participate in Pokémon Leagues and tournaments. Please note that players must choose whether to earn Pokémon TCG or video game Play! Points.
