Pokémon TCG Strategies
Looking for a place to begin with new Black & White—Plasma Blast cards? Check out these quick strategies that can be useful for starting your next winning deck!
Blastoise + Kyurem-EX + Energy Retrieval
Blastoise (16/101) has frequently been a great Pokémon for accelerating Water decks. The latest Pokémon to benefit from its Deluge Ability is Kyurem-EX (30/101).
Kyurem-EX 's Giga Frost attack is incredibly strong, but it has a high Energy requirement, and you have to discard 2 Water Energy every time you use it.
It's time to refill your hand with Energy on your next turn. Energy Retrieval (80/101) will give you the cards you need to fuel your next attack. Then keep the Energy flowing onto Kyurem-EX with Deluge!
Eelektrik + Eelektross
If you plan to use Team Plasma Eelektross (33/101) and its Crush and Burn attack, you'll definitely want to include Eelektrik (Black & White—Noble Victories, 40/101).
Use Eelektrik's Dynamotor Ability to retrieve Lightning Energy from the discard pile and attach it to any of your Benched Pokémon.
You can power up Crush and Burn using Energy attached to any of your Pokémon. As part of the attack, discard the Energy you just fetched, then be ready to retrieve it on the next turn!
