Who was your pick for Pokémon's best Gym Leader? We narrowed down the field to ten and asked you to vote on our special Pokémon 10th Anniversary page. Well, vote you did! Now the numbers have been tallied and it's time to put our top three finishers in the spotlight. We'll start with the third place finisher, Misty!


3. Misty
Misty is the feisty Cerulean Gym Leader and, as she'll tell you, the prettiest of the Gym's four sisters. She's no pushover - we've watched her battle a variety of opponents including Ash, Jessie, and even other Water Pokémon aces like Trinity and Dorian. But just as important, Misty is sincerely committed to taking care of her Pokémon and the environment in which Water Pokémon live. No wonder you voted her one of Pokémon's best Gym Leaders!

2. Tate and Liza
Tate and Liza, the twin Gym Leaders of the Mossdeep Gym, get to practice in zero-G rooms and shuttle simulators because their parents both work at the Mossdeep Space Center. They must be two of the youngest, luckiest Gym Leaders in Hoenn! But it takes more than luck to be the best. As Ash discovered, Tate and Liza are almost unstoppable when they decide to work together. Their teamwork and training nearly took them to first place in the poll results, but there was one person standing in their way...

1. Blaine
Edging out Tate and Liza by less than 20 votes is Blaine, the riddle-loving, disguise-wearing, far-out Gym Leader of Cinnabar Island! Blaine can seem mellow, but he and his Magmar are only interested in battling dedicated Trainers. Is it his combination of laid-back attitude and serious skill that makes him so great? Or it is because his hidden Gym was built inside a volcano? Either way, you've made Blaine the number one pick for Pokémon's top Gym Leader!
