Regions of Honor!
The Pokémon Trading Card Game 2008 World Championships are coming to Florida this August, and with three championship series tournament events already completed, there are still three more to go before Worlds--starting with the Pokémon TCG Regional Championships! Coming to Canada and the U.S. on Saturday, April 12th, the Pokémon TCG Regional Championships consist of fifteen free tournaments that are open to all Pokémon TCG players in good standing. For players with an eye on competing at the World Championships, this is a great opportunity. Results will count towards player Premier Ratings, and residents of the U.S. or Canada who are top finishers in their country's Regional Championships can earn travel awards to attend their National Championships!
But whether you're aiming for the Pokémon TCG World Championships or just a fun day of competition, all participants will receive a Pokémon TCG Regional Championships promo card and a commemorative pin, while supplies last! Prizes will also go to the top 16 finishers in each of the three age divisions: Junior (born in or after 1997), Senior (born between 1993 and 1996), and Masters (born in or before 1992). In addition to travel awards, prizes include trophies, scholarship awards, and Pokémon TCG booster packs!
A list of Pokémon TCG Regional Championships times and locations is available on the Pokémon Organized Play site at
Go-Pokémon.com, which also contains other essential information on tournament structure, rules, decklists, and more. So be sure to check it out before you go, and get ready for a weekend of blistering card battle action!
