Pokémon video games have come a long way since the good old days of Pokémon Red and Blue on the Game Boy, but they're still going strong. And with the recent release of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Red Rescue Team, not to mention the upcoming release of Pokémon Ranger, we thought it'd be a great time to open up the polls on our 10th Anniversary site and ask fans what their favorite Pokémon video game is. So here are the top three Pokémon video games, as chosen by you!

3. Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness
With cool graphics, a unique setting, and the ever-popular Shadow Lugia, Pokémon XD easily placed third in the votes! Released for the GameCube in 2005, it returns to Pokémon Colosseum's Orre region, where the Cipher Organization is once again using Shadow Pokémon for nefarious deeds. But Pokémon XD isn't just an RPG game - you can also battle a friend in impressive 3D style. No wonder it was used for this summer's Pokémon Video Game National Championships!

2. Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen
This second place finish shows that classics never go out of style! In 2004, new and old fans alike had reason to thrill over the release of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen for the Game Boy Advance. Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen updates the Kanto adventures of Pokémon Red and Blue with fresh graphics and all the latest features! This also has one very important bonus: players can now collect and swap Kanto Pokémon with the current generation of Pokémon video games.

1. Pokémon Emerald
Pokémon Emerald combines the best features of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire into one handy package with double the enemies. Now Trainers have to foil Team Aqua and Team Magma at the same time! Even Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire players have a new surprise in the Battle Frontier: seven challenging battle facilities that await those who defeat the Elite Four. And this game is a great opportunity to catch impressive Legendary Pokémon like Rayquaza, Kyogre, and Groudon. Unsurprisingly, this game was voted a runaway fan favorite!
